Day 1
travel day
Day 2
You will arrive in Prague, the bus will take you from the Prague airport to your hotel where you can relax before the welcome dinner. Depending on the time of arrival, a short sightseeing tour is possible.
Day 3
We will leave Prague in the morning to go to the town of Brno, famous for its Pegas microbrewery. After the tour of the brewery you will have a chance to sample their beer before we continue to the town of Strážnice.
Day 4
You will enjoy the famous International Folk Festival in Straznice, admire the beauty of the unique folk costumes in the festival parade, visit the old wine caves at Petrov and taste typical Moravian wines; in the evening you can watch local folk ensembles and dulcimer bands play and sing - you are more than welcome to join in!
Day 5
Mass is available at the Catholic church in Straznice; in the afternoon you can either stay in Straznice and enjoy the festival, or you can visit the Lednice-Valtice Chateaux complex with its Baroque and Neo-Gothic architecture and unforgettable gardens. You will have a possibility to walk around them or take a short boat trip to the famous Minaret.
Day 6
We will be heading for the town of Telc, one of the UNESCO Heritage Site towns, famous for its beautiful square with well-preserved Renaissance and Baroque townhouses and arcades. The Renaissance 16th century chateau and its gardens are also worth visiting.
Day 7
You can spend a leisurely morning in Telč to enjoy the atmosphere of this old town. And what a place it is to shop!!! After lunch our tour will take us to the town of Trebon, which will offer you a visit to its famous, 625-year old brewery. The end of the day will find us settled another UNESCO Heritage Site town, a picturesque city of Cesky Krumlov . Its unique historical center, a magnificent castle towering on the hill above the meanders of the river Vltava, its medieval streets and townhouses will make you want to return again.
Day 8
In Cesky Krumlov you have a choice – you can visit the Cesky Krumlov castle towering above the river Vltava, tour its luxurious interior and walk around its beautiful gardens, Or, if you feel like it, you can try your luck at kayaking or canoeing on the Vltava river. And what about going shopping in the old town? And visiting relatives in the little town of Brloh? There is certainly a lot to do in Cesky Krumlov! Good luck!
Day 9
Two gems in one day – isn’t it too much?!! First, the Hluboka Chateau, dating back to the 14th century, justly the second-most visited chateau in Bohemia. Then a tour of the world famous Pilsner Brewery and dinner at its traditional restaurant. Finally, off to Chodova Plana, a little town in western Bohemia, offering a visit to the first beer spa in the country. The comfortable hotel rooms at the Hotel U Sladka (At the Brewmaster’s) offer every comfort you will undoubtedly appreciate after such a busy day.
Day 10
In the morning we will visit a spa town of Marianske Lazne, where you can enjoy a leisurely walk around its parks and taste the local healing mineral waters before going to the historical Tepla monastery, the second oldest Premonstratensian monastery in the Czech Republic, which was founded in the 12th century. We will make sure you have enough time in the afternoon for the beer baths and massages at the hotel in Chodova Plana.
Day 11
Heading towards Prague, we will stop in Zatec to visit its newly established Hops Museum. And then visit of Lidice memorial and off to Prague.
Day 12
We will start the day by a short sightseeing tour on the tram.. Then we will take you to the Old Town Square to give you an opportunity to enjoy more sightseeing on your own, or go shopping downtown Prague. Early in the afternoon the group will meet again to tour the Prague Castle complex, visit St. Vitus cathedral, walk through the Castle gardens to the Little Quarter district, and finish the tour on the famous Charles Bridge. The evening will be free for you to explore the rest of the capital on your own.
day 13
Another day with a choice! Either more sightseeing in the Old Town of Prague, the Jewish Quarter, the Old Town Square with the Old Town Hall and its Astronomical clock, or optionally, a visit to the very famous Krusovice brewery near Prague. You can enjoy some free time in late afternoon before we all get together for the farewell dinner at the hotel.
Day 14
Transport to the airport and travel home.
