Day 1
group leaves the USA.

Day 2 - Prague
Arrival in Prague, transfer to the hotel, check-in; information and orientation; dinner in a restaurant near the hotel will include a welcome drink of Becherovka, a typical Czech liqueur; overnight in Prague.

Day 3 – Prague
Breakfast in the hotel; in the morning – a guided sightseeing tour of the town on bus and on foot; afternoon free to explore the town on your own; dinner – downtown; in the evening a theater performance; overnight in Prague.

Day 4 - Prague – Velka Chyska / individual program
Breakfast in the hotel; visit to ancestral sites of the Kohout and Hrubes families in Velka Chyska and around, or individual program according to interest – Prague churches, art galleries, Prague ZOO, museums, etc.; overnight in Prague.

Day 5 – Prague – Becov – Marianske Lazne – Chodova Plana
Breakfast in the hotel; after breakfast departure for the Becov Chateau, which houses the famous Romanesque Reliquary of St. Maurus considered to be the second most important historical artefact on the territory of the Czech Republic. In the afternoon a visit to Marianske Lazne, one of the beautiful spa towns in the so called West Bohemia “spa triangle”. For the night we will stay in a pleasant small hotel in Chodova Plana, a small town near Marianske Lazne; dinner will be served in an interesting restaurant inside a cave.

Day 6 – Chodová Planá – Munich
Breakfast in the hotel; after breakfast departure for Germany; a short stop in Regensburg, a Bavarian city in southeast Germany, known for its well-preserved medieval core with the 12th-century stone bridge, and the 13th-century Regensburg Cathedral; cruise on the river Danube from Kelheim to the Weltenburg Abbey (“White Fleet”) through the extraordinary Danube Gorge (weather permitting); stop at Kuchlbauer-Hundertwasser-Turm in Abensberg; overnight in Munich, dinner in the hotel.

Day 7 – Munich - Dachau - Munich
Breakfast in the hotel; in the morning a guided sightseeing tour of the city (on bus and on foot) showing some of the most interesting places like Marienplatz with a Marian column in its center, the Old and New Town Hall, whose tower contains the Rathaus-Glockenspiel, and a lot more; in the afternoon a visit to the concentration camp Dachau; overnight in Munich, dinner in the hotel.

Day 8 - Munich – Salzburg
Breakfast in the hotel; after breakfast departure for Salzburg; upon arrival free time for lunch; in the afternoon – a guided sightseeing tour of the town (on foot); then free time in downtown Salzburg or optionally, a ride by lift to Mt. Monchsberg, one of the five mountains in the city of Salzburg with a possibility to visit the castle, and take a short walk along the ridge of Mt. Monschberg; overnight near Salzburg, dinner in the hotel.

Day 9 – Salzburg
Breakfast in the hotel; in the morning – The Sound of Music Tour, which will take you to all the locations used during filming of the movie “The Sound of Music” (4 hrs, by bus); in the afternoon – visit to the underground Hallein Salt Mine, the oldest salt mine in the world open to visitors. The mine has been worked since the Celtic times and helped nearby Salzburg to become a powerful trading community. Now it serves as a mining museum. After the visit return to the hotel near Salzburg, dinner in the hotel.

Day 10 – Salzburg – “Eagle’s Nest” – Konigsee / Watzmann Therme – Salzburg
Breakfast in the hotel; in the morning a visit to the so-called “Eagle´s Nest” (Kehlsteinhaus), built as a teahouse for Adolf Hitler on Kehlstein Moutain at an elevation of 6,017 ft. Weather permitting, a short hike (1.5 hrs) on top of the mountain; in the afternoon – a visit to Königsee (King´s Lake), lunch, then either a boat trip to St. Bartholomew’s Church or a visit to the Watzmann Therme (Spa) in Berchtesgaden; overnight near Salzburg, dinner in the hotel.

Day 11 – Salzburg – Krimml Waterfalls – Innsbruck
Breakfast in the hotel; in the morning a drive to the Krimml Waterfalls on the Krimmler Ache River; lunch in the vicinity; an opportunity to take a short (1.5 hrs.) or a longer (3 hrs.) hike in the High Tauern National Park; then drive to Wattens to visit the Swarowski Crystal World Museum, built in 1995 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Austria based crystal company Swarowski; overnight in Innsbruck, dinner in the hotel.

Day 12 – Innsbruck
Breakfast in the hotel; in the morning a guided sightseeing tour of Innsbruck, a well-known center of winter sports, old and modern architecture; in the afternoon you can take the Nordkette cable car up to 7,401 ft. (2,256m) from the city center to Mt Hafelekar, which offers the most spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ridges; or you can spend your time at leisure downtown Innsbruck, or enjoy the wellness in the hotel; overnight in Innsbruck, dinner in the hotel.

Day 13 – Innsbruck – Wieskirche – Neuschwanstein – Fussen
Breakfast in the hotel; in the morning a short stop at Wieskirche, the Pilgrimage Church of Wies, one of the most important places of pilgrimage in southern Germany. In the afternoon, a visit to the famous 19th-century Neuschwanstein Castle; after the visit, a possibility to take a short walk to the Marienbrucke viewpoint before returning to the parking area. Overnight in Fussen, dinner in the hotel.

Day 14 – Fussen –Lindau
Breakfast in the hotel; in the morning a drive to Lindau, a beautiful old town on Bodensee (Boden Lake); time for lunch and a free afternoon on the Lindau island (Insel), where you can take a tram-ride through the Altstadt with a local guide, or enjoy a walk along the lake, or just relax. Overnight in Lindau, dinner in the hotel.

Day 15 – Lindau – Rankweil – Vaduz (Lichtenstein) – St. Gallen (Switzerland)
Breakfast in the hotel; in the morning a short stop at Rankweil with its unique basilica; then a visit to Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein, the fourth smallest state in Europe with an area of just over 62 sq. miles and an estimated population of 37,000 inhabitants; our next stop will be in St Gallen, home to the Abbey of St. Gall. Overnight in Lindau, dinner in the hotel.

Day 16 – Lindau – Nymphenburg Castle - Munich
Breakfast in the hotel; in the morning a drive to Munich, on the way a visit to the Nymphenburg Castle; afternoon free in downtown Munich; overnight in Munich, farewell dinner in the hotel.
Day 17 – Travel day
Departure for the USA.
